Under Sink Water Filter | 3 Stage | Sediment + Carbon + Alkaline

A 3-stage under-sink water filter that adds an alkaline mineral stage to the standard sediment-and-carbon configuration — the right tier for owners who want chlorine reduction and the mineral profile of natural spring water at the tap, without stepping up to the cost and complexity of a reverse osmosis system.

Three-Stage Filtration

• Stage 1 — 5 micron PP spun sediment filter: captures sand, dirt, rust, and visible particulate. Protects the carbon stage and the alkaline media downstream.
• Stage 2 — 5 micron carbon block: removes chlorine, taste, odour, and a range of organic chemical contaminants. Higher contact time than granular carbon.
• Stage 3 — Alkaline mineral cartridge: introduces calcium, magnesium, and other minerals back into the water and lifts pH from neutral toward slightly alkaline. The result is filtered water with the mouthfeel of mineral water rather than the flat taste some people perceive in heavily-purified water.

All cartridges in standard 10" × 2.5" format — the most widely-stocked Australian filter size.

When the 3-Stage Makes Sense vs RO

• 3-stage (this product): sediment, chlorine, taste, and mineral enhancement. Doesn't reduce fluoride, dissolved solids, or heavy metals.
• 4-stage RO and up: adds the RO membrane for full-spectrum contaminant reduction including fluoride and heavy metals. Significantly more aggressive treatment.

If your concern is taste and chlorine, and you want the perceived benefit of mineralised water, the 3-stage gets you there. If you're targeting fluoride or specific contaminant reduction, step up to RO.

Install

DIY install for handy homeowners (1–2 hours), or a licensed plumber. Connects to the cold water supply line under the sink. Tap hole drilling required if the bench doesn't already have one.

Service Interval

Replace the sediment and carbon cartridges every 6–12 months on typical Australian town water. The alkaline cartridge typically lasts 12 months or 1500 gallons — whichever comes first. Replacement cartridges available individually or as a configured set.
