A single-stage 10" × 2.5" whole-house sediment filter — the simplest entry into whole-house particulate removal. Mounted at the point of entry, it traps the dirt, rust, sand, and visible particles that would otherwise reach every tap, appliance, and fixture in the building.

What It Does
A sediment filter is the workhorse pre-treatment for any whole-house system. It removes:
- Sand and grit from older mains lines or tank installations
- Rust particles flushed from steel pipes or hot water systems
- Visible dirt in suspended form
- Larger particulate that would otherwise foul cartridges, appliance valves, and the showerhead
What a sediment filter doesn't do: it doesn't remove chlorine, taste, or chemical contaminants. If your incoming water has chlorine taste or odour, pair this filter with a carbon stage — or step up to a combined sediment + carbon 2-stage system.
