A single-stage whole-house sediment filter with a clear housing that shows sediment buildup as it happens - the cartridge transitions from clean white to visibly discoloured as it captures dirt, rust, and particulate, giving you an unambiguous signal when replacement is due.

Why the Clear Housing Wins on Sediment Cartridges

Sediment cartridges show their state more visibly than any other filter type. A new PP sediment cartridge is bright white; a loaded one discolours through tan, brown, and red-brown depending on what's in the supply. Through a clear housing:

• Tan staining = typical sand and silt loading on tank water
• Brown discolouration = rust particles from older pipework
• Red-brown banding = iron content in bore or rainwater supplies
• Uneven discolouration = channelling or media failure (cartridge needs immediate replacement)

For whole-house installations on tank, bore, or rainwater supplies - where sediment load is unpredictable - visual feedback is dramatically more useful than a calendar reminder.

What This System Targets

This sediment-filtration system is designed for suspended particulate such as sand, silt, dirt and rust. It protects downstream plumbing and treatment stages by physically trapping particles.

It does not remove dissolved salts, hardness minerals, chlorine or microorganisms. If those are concerns, pair sediment filtration with the appropriate carbon, reverse-osmosis, softening or UV treatment stage.
