The 3-stage configuration covers the standard whole-house treatment combinations (sediment + carbon + polish, configurable per cartridge selection). The Big Blue 20" × 4.5" format delivers full whole-house flow capacity at 1" inlet/outlet connections.

What This System Targets
This multi-stage system combines sediment filtration with activated carbon. It is therefore suited to reducing suspended dirt, sand, silt and rust, while also improving chlorine, taste and odour and reducing some organic compounds.
It is not a true water softener and it is not a microbiological disinfection system. Hardness minerals such as calcium and magnesium require ion-exchange softening or membrane treatment, while bacteria, viruses and parasites require an appropriately validated membrane or UV/disinfection stage.
