What 'Standard 10 × 2.5' Means

The 10" × 2.5" cartridge size has been the residential water filter industry standard since the 1990s. Almost every residential under-sink filter, RO pre-filter, and small whole-house cartridge system uses this size.

Dimensions of cartridges that fit:

• Length: approximately 9.75-10" (between housing top and bottom seals)
• Outer diameter: approximately 2.5"
• Inner diameter (centre tube): approximately 1" (~28mm)

This universality means cartridges from any major brand fit any major brand's housing - you're not locked into proprietary filters with marked-up replacement pricing.

Why White?

Three practical reasons:

• Visibility of cartridge condition - you can see through a white housing more easily than a coloured one (some white housings are translucent enough to monitor cartridge fouling)
• Heat reflection - for housings installed in areas with summer sun exposure, white reflects heat better than dark colours
• Aesthetic - fits white plumbing installations without visual disruption
