A rimless wash-down toilet - combining the hygienic rimless bowl design with a wash-down flush system that uses direct water pressure for powerful, efficient waste removal. The right choice when you want rimless cleanliness combined with strong flush performance.
Wash-Down vs Siphonic - What's the Difference
Toilets divide broadly into two flush mechanisms:
- Wash-down (this toilet): water pressure from the cistern pushes waste down through the trap by direct force. Simpler mechanism, more reliable, less prone to blockages. Generally quieter and faster to refill.
- Siphonic: uses suction to pull waste down - quieter flush, less splashing during use, but more prone to bowl-line buildup and can be slower to refill.
For most Australian residential installations, wash-down is the preferred flush type - fewer moving parts to fail, stronger flush against partial blockages, and lower long-term maintenance.
Rimless Design
No hidden under-rim cavity to harbour bacteria. Water enters the bowl from a visible flow channel along the top of the bowl wall - every wettable surface is accessible to a brush or cloth. Easier cleaning, better long-term hygiene, no aggressive chemicals needed to keep the bowl fresh.
Soft-Close Seat
The seat lowers silently when released. No slamming, no pinched fingers, no porcelain damage from years of dropped seats.
Water Efficiency
WELS 4-star rated, dual-flush 4.5 L / 3 L system. Well below older 9 L single-flush standards with no compromise on the wash-down flush performance.
