The Bestank-Solar 19L vertical pressure and expansion tank — the mid-size in the Solar Series, sitting between the entry 12L and the 50L whole-house format. Sized for the slightly-larger residential RO installations, small-commercial pressurisation, and applications where 12L cycles too frequently but 50L is overkill.
Where 19L Sits in the Sizing Range
For pressure tank sizing, the practical rule is: choose the size where the pump cycles less than 10-15 times per hour at typical demand. Bigger tank means fewer cycles; smaller tank means more.
- 12L — RO systems, small booster pumps. Cycles every 30-60 seconds at moderate demand.
- 19L (this tank) — slightly larger residential and small-commercial. Cycles every 1-2 minutes at moderate demand.
- 50L — whole-house. Cycles every 2-5 minutes at residential demand.
- 100L — commercial RO, large solar. Cycles every 5+ minutes.
A 5-component cycle (start, ramp-up, run, ramp-down, stop) is harder on a pump motor than continuous running. Sizing the tank to reduce cycle count directly extends pump life.

The 290 × 390 mm footprint is only marginally larger than the 12L (250 × 370 mm) — the extra 60% capacity comes at a relatively small space penalty, which is why this size is often the sweet spot for residential installations.
Italian Membrane
Made in Italy EPDM / BUTYL Solar membrane, rated -20°C to 130°C. Hygienic certifications from European Union and USA institutions. Replaceable design lets you swap the bladder when it eventually fails instead of replacing the whole tank.
